To all who are young and need counsel; to all who are strong and want a task; to all who are weary and need rest; to all who are lonely and want companionship; to all who mourn and need comfort; to all who are sinful and need a Saviour - to whosoever will: this church opens wide its doors and in the Name of Christ says -WELCOME!

Mission Statement
How we welcome, treat, respect, and educate the children now will be the future of the Episcopal Church.

During the year there will be integration with the Teen and Adult Christian Formation classes for special activities designed for the whole church. In the past these activities have included:

The Christmas Pageant
World Peace Day
Praying in Color
Field Trips to the Monahan’s Sand Dunes
Working with the St. John’s Food Pantry
Gardening
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Church Lock-In
Youth Out-Reach to Seabury Retirement Center and parish member’s home
The Annual Dessert  Auction

Many of our youth share a ministry with St. John’s as Acolytes. In this capacity they serve the church while also learning its traditions.

Examples of questions which have risen during the classes:

What is an Angel?
Where is God in my life?
Where is God in my school?

The Sunday School teachers view their jobs as laying the foundations for Christian Inquiry that will stay with their students the rest of their lives.
